At the core of BOARD sits SAM3, the third generation of Meta's Segment Anything architecture. When you upload a photo, the model processes it through a vision transformer backbone that generates dense embeddings for every pixel region.
These embeddings are decoded into instance-level masks — one per object — without any user prompt. The result: within 2-3 seconds of upload, every object is outlined and ready for interaction.
The detection pipeline runs server-side on GPU clusters, so your device speed is irrelevant. A five-year-old phone gets the same speed and accuracy as a new desktop.
