How Object Detection Actually Works
At the core of BOARD sits SAM3, the third generation of Meta's Segment Anything architecture. When you upload a photo, the model processes it through a vision transformer backbone that generates dense embeddings for every pixel region. These embeddings are decoded into instance-level masks — one per object — without any user prompt.
